Pink Salmon return to spawn in our local rivers every two years (2021, 2023…). These salmon typically arrive in our waters in late July and are available to anglers until mid-September. Fresh from the ocean Pinks are relatively easy to catch with simple pink flies. The fish average 3 to 5 pounds and put up a good fight. Multiple fish days are common even for less experience fly fishers. There is competition for the best spots along the rivers and an early start is advisable.
Early starts also avoid the late summer heat. Pinks are great sport and have brought smiles to countless clients over the years (check out the gallery images).
