MID OCTOBER COHO

It’s been a fantastic return for Coho salmon this year, with strong, healthy numbers of fish making their way through the river systems. We’ve been seeing steady action both on the fly and with gear, and anglers are finding success throughout the system. Water levels have been up and down, but those fluctuations have kept fresh fish moving — especially during higher flows — leading to some exciting days on the water. As levels begin to drop, conditions are shaping up perfectly for consistent fishing in the weeks ahead.
The Coho run should continue well into mid-December, offering plenty of opportunities to enjoy some excellent late-season fishing. If you haven’t made it out yet, now’s the time — the fall colors are vibrant, the air is crisp, and the Coho are here in great numbers.
